Last night I took my son Master M to see Alice in Wonderland. Alice has never been a favourite of mine, in fact I really didn't like it at all so it was with some trepidation I agreed to go to see this adaptation.
How surprised was I, it was a really good film and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, all the characters were fantastic, particularly Matt Lucas as Dum and Dee.
So if you've got a spare couple of hours over the weekend then I would pop along to see it.
Until next time..............
Oh, I really do want to see it, I think it will be a wonderful (darker ) version of it. I can't wait! Suzie xxx

Wasn't it wonderful - the first film I've been to in a while where my mind hasn't wandered and I haven't found myself clock watching.

I thought the trailers on TV looked a bit "dark", well, the book was too, but you have convinced me to give it a go!

I've made plans to go see it over Spring break! I'm so excited! The costumes/make-up look marvelous.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping my boyfriend is going to take me to see this for my birthday!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you posted this. I don't particularly like Johnny Depp and might have avoided it. I will probably go and see it now!
ReplyDeleteI heard an interview with Helena B-C on Woman's Hour last week and they were saying it's a real feminist take on the Alice story. It's so difficult getting to the cinema, we usually wait for the DVD release and watch them through LoveFilm!

I want to see it...
