Maternity Baking...................

One of my colleagues left last Friday to start her maternity leave, she has 6 weeks until little bubba's due date, to mark the occasion I decided that she needed some cakes, I didn't have the time to make them so I bought some 'naked' fairy cakes from Tesco and decorated them myself with an embossing mat and mould that I purchased at 'Cake International'.  I think Emma was very pleased with them.......

As we don't know if she is having a boy or girl I did a dozen each of pink and blue. I really love the embossing on the white icing, looks very pretty.

They have a mix of 'nursery' items, not the easiest thing I've ever done !

Hope all goes well when the time comes, and I will let you know what she has.

Until next time

The Patter of Tiny Paws.............................

Well a lot has been happening here recently, for a long time Marcus has been asking if we can get a dog, so far I've always said no........................until a couple of weeks ago, so finally we are getting a
lovely boy to be Marcus's best friend.  We have decided on a Jack Russell puppy, they are not born
yet but are due around the 23rd June, they will be ready for homing just when we get back from holiday, what brilliant timing.

These are the pups parents...................The Mum Roxy....

And the Dad Eddie........

They were both very friendly, happy dogs with lovely natures, we can't wait.  We have decided on the name Rexi, a cross between Roxy and Eddie, a name that we all like.  You will definitely be seeing photo's when we bring our boy home.

Until next time.............

Lovely Day.................

What a lovely day today has been, a reminder that spring is on the way.  For the first time in ages I arrived at my home station in daylight !  It really does make you feel better when the sun shines doesn't it ?

Found out today which secondary school my son will be attending in September, didn't get our first choice but did get our second so all is well, Marcus was happy to find out that a couple of the other children in his class will also be going to this school too.

Lots of lovely goodies have been arriving from Ebay ready for my next sewing projects and I can't wait
for the weekend to get started.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Until next time............

New Project................

I decided to embark on my next project and as my boys are in Italy visiting my in law's I have a bit of time to myself in the evenings.  I'm still learning but thought I would make a small quilt either for Sophie's pushchair or for her to play with.  It's not perfect and next time I will do things slightly differently, but all in all I am very pleased with the result.

It was made with a kit I bought from Ebay made up of various Cath Kidston fabrics.  I hope that Kelly and Sophie like it.  As a first attempt I don't think it's too bad.

Until next time ....
