Apologies, Apologies, Apologies...............

I would just like to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten any of you, I've been very busy at work and at home which severely cuts down the time I get to spend visiting with my blog friends, and later in the evening I have been spending a bit too much time with Edward and Bella, reading late into the night, not great when I have to get up at 5am, apparently I appear to be obsessed ! I hope to have normal service resume soon, so please excuse my lack of comments and posts, it doesn't help that the computer at home is burried under curtains and curtain poles at the moment too.

With any luck the lounge will be finished this weekened and I can post some photo's for you to see next week.

Who Needs Bob the Builder!

As you all know today was the day that my Ikea unit was to be unleashed, very luckily for me the lovely Kelly of Kelly's Recipies for Life is my neice, how lucky am I and how many of you had worked that one out?

Anyway, she duly arrived with my sister Angel of Kissed by an Angel fame and a bag full of assorted screwdrivers.  It does help that she takes after me, in as much as we are both quite capable and able put these things together without too much shouting, well that and the fact that she has had an awful lot or practice lately!

All was going swimmingly and we managed to get all the various units assembled then came the task of attaching the middle unit at the top, how were we going to manage for one of us to hold it whilst the other screwed it to either side, so the ever resoucesful Kelly came up with the following idea, (must be because she is an engineer !)

We used one of the shelves and the foot (it can also be a freestanding unit up the other way) to hold it in position, what a fantastic girl the Kelly is..........

Look no hands!.......................

I really couldn't have managed it without her help, or without my lovely sister keeping us fed and watered.

Twilight New Moon..............

The kind people at Amazon have emailed to advise me that my copy of Twilight New Moon is in the post, hopefully it will arrive today I can't wait to see it

With any luck my next post will be about my living room and how it looks with the Ikea furniture I posted about previously, providing I still have all my fingers that is, keep an eye out for pictures.

Oh, yes almost forgot, I've just made 52 followers, yay.

Twilight..........................

As always with these thing we pick them up a little late, Master M has just discovered the Twilight Saga and watches the first film non-stop.  I have also enjoyed watching and have now had to order the complete set of books as I can't wait for all the films to come out to find out what happens.

I've found out today that the second DVD is available on 22nd March so have ordered this for Master M for easter.

I had a lovely mothers day, received a lovely potted plant and a beautiful card that he made for me, plus we had a takeaway so I didn't have to cook, heaven.

Ken and Barbie................

Are coming to dinner tonight, yes I have married friends and they really are called Ken and Barbie!

As you can imagine this causes a bit of a laugh and some raised eyebrows, although they don't actually look like this.........well not most of the time anyway!!

They did have a bit of a theme at their wedding, it was all done very tastefully, but as Barbie said it had to be done.

We are going to eat a goats cheese and red onion tart.........

Followed by lovely roast lamb with rosemary and garlic, look away now if you are a veggie person......

There will probably also be a couple or so bottles of wine consumed during the evening, lets hope not too much as tomorrow morning Master M has a rugby match !!

Alice in Wonderland..............

Last night I took my son Master M to see Alice in Wonderland.  Alice has never been a favourite of mine, in fact I really didn't like it at all so it was with some trepidation I agreed to go to see this adaptation.

How surprised was I, it was a really good film and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, all the characters were fantastic, particularly Matt Lucas as Dum and Dee.

So if you've got a spare couple of hours over the weekend then I would pop along to see it.

A Parcel Just For Me.................

I arrived home on Saturday afternoon to find that the postperson (have to be PC don't we !!!) had left a lovely package for me..............it was from my partner CraftyHelen@Home  in the Pamper Swap hosted by the lovely Michela at http://littlesecretsfrommygarden.blogspot.com/  this is what I received..............

I love this card so much as it has all of my very favourite flowers on it.

Ooh, such pretty parcels, what can be inside them..............

A lovely Jasmine scented Reed Diffuser, three fab Yankee Candle Tarts and a beautiful rose necklace, what  lovely treats, I really do love everything, THANK YOU very much CraftyHelen.

I have also decided that as the card is so very pretty I'm going to put it in a photo frame as I think it will make a lovely picture.

Don't know what to do first, tart or reeds, hmmmmmmmmmmm.............

At Last..........................

I am finally going to Ikea to get a unit I have been planning to get since November, I have decided that it's time to decorate my living room and want to get rid of all the clutter, and I'm hoping this will do the job......

I think I will also buy a couple of extra doors for the small bits at the top in order to cover up more of said clutter, and a couple of these with doors for either side of the big unit............

These are going to be purchased next week so the husband has a couple of weeks to get the living room painted before I'm let loose with the screwdriver to get this little baby put together, I will of course post  before and after shots.

It's Getting Better..............

At last it seems were are heading into Spring.  I leave home very early in the mornings for work, 6am and during the winter months I tend to feel as if I am nocturnal as I don't arrive back until around 6.30 pm, so the last couple of mornings it has been really lovely to be greeted by a sky like this whilst on the train.................

And when I arrived in London, it was daylight, it really does make a difference to how you feel.

I am so looking forward to the garden starting to sprout and bloom over the coming months, and to when we can leave off the heavy coats and jackets for something lighter.
