Gone Home...............

We had a lovely few days with my Sister in Law, she finally managed to get over for 4 days.  It's very difficult for her as she has to make lots of arrangements for the family, she looks after my Father in Law who is 87 and not in the best of health, she also looks after her and my husbands 49 year old Downs sister, so you can understand that she doesn't have the easiest life.   Luckily her daugher who is 23 said that she would take over the day to day care so that her mother could spend a few days without worrying about everyone else.  So on Sunday 25th April she arrived nice and early in the morning, she spent time just her and her brother catching up on all the latest family gossip, Master M and I were at a rugby festival.

One of the days we took a little trip to Lakeside (with Angel) as she loves to look around the shops, everything is so very different here than in Italy, (I'm the same when I go there), of course we had to stop off for a little something to prepare.......

She is rather partial to our cakes.....
Then we came upon this,.......funny thing was even though she stood for this photo, she actually had no idea who it was !

All too soon her time was up and she had to fly back home, she did manage to take a suitcase full of English goddies, Custard Creams and Salad Cream are particular favourites, I made a Lemon Drizzle Cake for her to take for my Father in Law, he was thrilled.  Hopefully we can arrange for her to come again one day.

  3. What a lovely break for your sister in law. I know how she feels, i look after my 80 year old father, brother who has heart disease and daughter who had terrible accident 7 years ago which left her with brain damage and epilepsy and crippled leg, it can be very very tiring! Good on you for giv ing her a lovely time. Best wishes Betty x
