Happy New Year.............

Happy New Year to you all.

As I write this we are eagerly awaiting the delivery of my Great Niece, my darling niece Kelly is in theatre now giving birth to her little girl, there will of course be lots of photo's in due course, what a perfect end to a year that has been full of mixed emotions, lets hope that 2011 will be perfect for everyone.

I feel that after almost a year it's time I start using my real name on my blog too.

Oh What A Lucky Girl Am I..................

I arrived home from work yesterday sniffing and coughing with this horrible cold to find a huge box in my hall.................

What could be in there I asked myself, so with the help of Master M I opened the box to find this....................

A beautiful Christmas Hamper form Fortnum and Mason, the basket alone is wonderful and the goodies inside, well what can I say.  It was a gift from some of the guys at work, a 'thank you' for everything I've done for them this year, how kind they are.  I was for once speechless.

How lucky am I and what lovey guys do I work for !

Until next time

My Baby is Ten..............

I can't believe how quickly the time goes, before I know it he will be all grown up.  Last Thursday was Master M's 10th birthday. It only seems like yesterday that he was born, where have the years gone !

This year we didn't have a party but he had a couple of friends home from school on Friday for dinner at the American style diner near us and then a sleepover, I have to say they were all very good and went straight to bed when I said it was time, yes I was surprised too.  His lovely cousin Kelly made him this fantastic cake, what a clever girl she is, although I think she had to sit down while she was doing it due to her ever expanding waistline !!!

Talking of her expanding waistline, I've made this granny square blanket for our little bundle ready for her pram / moses basket etc, lovely Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino wool, lovely soft and warm, I was so pleased with it, as was Kelly and James.

Hope you're all having a great weekend, see you all again soon.

Day Out With Master M..........

Last Saturday I decided it would be nice for Master M and I to have a day out, sadly we don't get to spend heaps of time together as I'm out of the house at work for around 13 hours a day, so every now and then I like to do something, just the two of us.  We got up early and set off at 8.30 to Tesco to buy some bits for our lunch, then off to the station.

Master M quite likes going on the Tube, we had a lovely journey as we bumped into our old neighbours.

As he is studying the Egyptians at school at the moment, I thought it would be nice for us to visit the British Museum, they have a great collection of Egyptian artifacts, it was very interesting (I haven't been there myself since I was a child), Master M really enjoyed it here too,  while we were there we also visited the 'Book of the Dead' exhibition.

Later we moved on to the Science Museum, although we did only manage one floor, there is so much there to see and do, so we will definitely have to plan a return visit to see the other 3 floors!

We had a great day together and I very much look forward to the next one.

Birthday Boy...............

What a lovely evening we had on Saturday, my brother in law Martin turned 60 on Friday so my sister Angel arranged dinner at a fantastic place as a surprise.  We all arrived early so as to be in place before he arrived and to put some balloons on the table.

Martin thought he was just going out to dinner with my sister and their daughter Kelly and her husband James, but no a few close friends were also there to help him celebrate.  Kelly made one of her fantastic cakes, she is a very clever girl, although apparently she got more ingredients on her ever expanding tummy !

Master M looked lovely and very grown up, he was a very good boy but was very tired at the end of the night.

I know Martin enjoyed himself and so did we.  Thank you very much Angel for a great evening.

A Lovely Weekend...............

Some of you may remember back in April it was my 50th birthday, my lovely sister gave me a great present.....a one night stay at Down Hall which included a 3 course dinner and breakfast.  Well as our wedding anniversary is the 7th September I decided that it would be nice to go sometime around then, with that in mind I booked for the 25th September ( all the other Saturdays were a bit busy) so with bag duly packed off we went. After a short drive we arrived here................

It is a really impressive house, and I like to imagine the horse and carriages arriving, dropping people off for a lovely ball or some such thing.  Our room was lovely, large with a huge bed...................

It was a very cozy room, once evening fell and the dimmed lights were on.  During the afternoon we took a stroll around the extensive grounds and had a couple or so drinks in the bar, watching the guests arrive for the wedding that was to take place, very interesting.

The bathroom was huge, and the bath also, not being one to turn down a great opportunity I ran myself a steaming hot bath and took my book for a little bit of 'me' time, it was wonderful, not something I have done for so long.

Dinner was wonderful, a twice baked Goats Cheese Souffle, followed by Lemon Sole, delicious and a Plum Clafouti to finish the meal off, we chose to have coffee and liqueurs in the lounge, it was a shame that the huge fire wasn't alight, but I probably would  have fallen asleep.

After a restful night we had a great breakfast, there was everything you would expect, cereal, fruit, sausages, bacon etc etc.  After we left we dropped our bag off at home then back in the car to drive to my friends house for her 30th birthday celebrations, we stayed a couple of hours but had to get back to my sister to pick up Marcus.

Thank you very much Angel for a great birthday present, I really enjoyed it.

Until next time............

Old Friends.............

On Wednesday I met up with a couple of friends Linda and her daughter Paula that I haven't seen for ages, we spent a lovely evening remembering all the things we used to do.

It was so nice to see them again and catch up on everything that has happened in the last few years, and there is quite a lot as you can imagine.

We used to spend loads of time together right up until I had Master M, hopefully I will be seeing them both again soon. Paula now has a beautiful 10 month old little girl Lola-Rose who I am looking forward to getting to know.

Until next time.....

And Now We Are All Back.................

Hello everyone,

We all had a lovely holiday in Italy, the weather this year was fantastic very hot and sunny, just a couple of rainy days, we had a couple of good friends join us for a few days which was lovely.  Master M had a wonderful time, football, table tennis, badminton, bocce, swimming, you name it he did it, he also made friends with the resident bunny rabbit who used to take food from his hand. My sister the lovely Angel did a brilliant job of looking after Master M the week before I arrived, and she says I spoil him !!!!!!!

It seems such a long time since I last saw you all, I've been having a read and playing catch up, my goodness so much has been happening and I am looking forward to visiting you all again soon.

All our expecting mothers are doing well, my lovely niece Kelly and Sarah the sister in law of Victoria and also Kelly's friend Kelly, would you believe they are all due within 3 weeks of each other !  They each have found out what they are having too, so I need to dust off my crochet hook and get cracking.

Anyway will be back with you all shortly.  Have a great weekend and enjoy whatever it is you have planned.

Until then......

Eclipse.................

Last Sunday with great anticipation and much excitement Angel, Kelly and I had an appointment with Edward, Bella and Co, and I have to say we were not disappointed, Angel and I are off to see it again on Saturday, just in case we missed anything from the first viewing.  It was like they'd never been away, like family visiting from overseas.......................... I know I know, they're not real !!!!  Well we loved it.

Did any of you see Alan Carr Chatty Man on Sunday evening, poor Ashley Greene obviously didn't get his humour at all, but they were all very funny, Emmett (Kellan Lutz) and Rosalie (Nikki Reed) were great.

Think I might have to read the books...........again !

Until next time.......

Oh What a Lovely Day.................

For the last few months Mr RosieP has been very busy in and out of the garden, potting plants and making sure that Jack Frost didn't get to his babies, for his efforts the garden is well on it's way to looking glorious.  I've taken a few photo's of one side but they really don't do it justice.

Mr RosieP takes a lot of care over his plants and tries to get lots of colour into the garden.

This weekend the weather has been fantastic and I have tried to spend us much time in the garden as possible, sitting in the sun sipping the odd glass of wine, very civilised.  Even the cats have joined us (although not in the wine).  Chicco has found a nice shady spot for a short snooze.

And Mina loves to just relax.

Right I'm back off out for another spot of sunbathing.  See you all again soon.

Until then.......................

Sunny Days..............

How lovely the weather has been this week, I so love the sun., it does make everyone much happier, whilst pottering in the garden I noticed that my Peonies had bloomed I was so pleased, here are the two flowers............

I also saw that the vine had really taken off, come September this will be covered with lovely little black grapes, this is one of the things that reminds Mr RP of home, we have an olive tree in the front of the house for the same reason.

The fish are going mad and wanting food every time you walk by the pond, they are a great source of amusement for the cats who like to sit on the edge and watch them swimming round.

Until next time.....
