It's Been Ages........................

Where has the time gone ?  It's been ages since I last posted anything, so what's been happening....... Well nothing major really, Master M and I have been trying to spend as much time as we can with Sophie, she is such a great baby, so good it's incredible. She is so much better now, poor little thing has been suffering from silent reflux since birth, she has had Cranial Osteopathy and is also on Gaviscon at the moment, but is much improved, she cries very little and sleeps well.  She is a happy and contented baby and brings much joy to us all.  Kelly and James are incredibly lucky.

The husband and Master M spent half term in Italy visiting my father in law and the rest of hubby's family, Master M loves being there, on the beach, visiting his cousins, aunts and uncles.

The last couple of weekends we have managed to spend some time having some good friends over for dinner, first it was our friend Trevor and his family, he also happens to be the Vicar that baptised Marcus and who is going to baptise Sophie, does make for a very personal service, we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have this privilege.  Last weekend we entertained some friends we haven't seen for ages who actually live only a 10 minute drive from us! Good food, good wine and good friends, we are blessed.

How awful are the things that have happened in Japan! We can't even begin to imagine what these poor people must be going through, so much suffering and it's still not over, I'm sure our prayers are with them.

I wish you all peace and joy and a great weekend.

Until next time......................

The Italian Visit.................

Last week we had some of our Italian friends over for a long weekend, it was so lovely to have them stay.  This was their first visit to England so we did the usual tourist bits, visit to London to see the sights, Tesco, Primark etc.............

Here are a few photos taken during one of our days out..........

On the train at Epping, from the left Matteo, Giorgia, Monica and Giovanni

At the Tower of London, Tower Bridge in the background....

At the Royal Horseguards, Giovanni, Matteo and Marcus....

Waiting for the Thames Clipper, Marcus and Mimmo too....just in case you didn't know my husband is Italian !
It was an absolute pleasure to spend these days with them, they are good fun and fit in very easily, looking forward to when we will see them again.

Until next time...

Our Newest Family Member..............

My last post was about New Years Eve and awaiting the arrival of my Great Niece, she arrived at 11.40 am weighing in at 9lb 3ozs, and is wonderful, Kelly and James have called her Sophie and it suits her perfectly.

She is the most precious little bundle and is loved to death by us all, here are a few photographs for you to see, the third one is my favourite at the moment.

She is such a good little girl, and just smells so lovely, can't wait for my next cuddle.

Until next time.........................

I feel that after almost a year it's time I start using my real name on my blog too.

Oh What A Lucky Girl Am I..................

I arrived home from work yesterday sniffing and coughing with this horrible cold to find a huge box in my hall.................

What could be in there I asked myself, so with the help of Master M I opened the box to find this....................

A beautiful Christmas Hamper form Fortnum and Mason, the basket alone is wonderful and the goodies inside, well what can I say.  It was a gift from some of the guys at work, a 'thank you' for everything I've done for them this year, how kind they are.  I was for once speechless.

How lucky am I and what lovey guys do I work for !

Until next time

My Baby is Ten..............

I can't believe how quickly the time goes, before I know it he will be all grown up.  Last Thursday was Master M's 10th birthday. It only seems like yesterday that he was born, where have the years gone !

This year we didn't have a party but he had a couple of friends home from school on Friday for dinner at the American style diner near us and then a sleepover, I have to say they were all very good and went straight to bed when I said it was time, yes I was surprised too.  His lovely cousin Kelly made him this fantastic cake, what a clever girl she is, although I think she had to sit down while she was doing it due to her ever expanding waistline !!!

Talking of her expanding waistline, I've made this granny square blanket for our little bundle ready for her pram / moses basket etc, lovely Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino wool, lovely soft and warm, I was so pleased with it, as was Kelly and James.

Hope you're all having a great weekend, see you all again soon.

Day Out With Master M..........

Last Saturday I decided it would be nice for Master M and I to have a day out, sadly we don't get to spend heaps of time together as I'm out of the house at work for around 13 hours a day, so every now and then I like to do something, just the two of us.  We got up early and set off at 8.30 to Tesco to buy some bits for our lunch, then off to the station.

Master M quite likes going on the Tube, we had a lovely journey as we bumped into our old neighbours.

As he is studying the Egyptians at school at the moment, I thought it would be nice for us to visit the British Museum, they have a great collection of Egyptian artifacts, it was very interesting (I haven't been there myself since I was a child), Master M really enjoyed it here too,  while we were there we also visited the 'Book of the Dead' exhibition.

Later we moved on to the Science Museum, although we did only manage one floor, there is so much there to see and do, so we will definitely have to plan a return visit to see the other 3 floors!

We had a great day together and I very much look forward to the next one.
